Reports from Tulsa this week suggest that Kitty Frame could prove to be one of the main players in this week's PGA Championship. Never heard of him? Us neither. Hardly surprising really. After all, he isn’t a player and nor is he a he.
    No, Ms Frame is the enterprising Tulsa 'realtor' who has found a quarter of this year's competitors a cosy home-away-from-home for the week instead of the usual soulless hotel room. By 'mailing' homeowners in the surrounding streets of Southern Hills, Frame has found 40 Tulsans prepared to up sticks for a week and rent their apartments and houses to the golfing elite. She then set up a website accessible only to the players and invited them to take their pick.
    Interestingly, Frame reports that  proximity to the driving range and number of TV's were more important than five-star luxury for most of the players. Expect sales of sheds, greenhouses and plasmas to rocket around Royal Birkdale next July…
