"They're tipping ME?"
Last week's result was truly amazing. No, not Phil Mickelson winning, but rather IGWT correctly predicting that he would. OK, so he is ranked number two in the world, so it was hardly sticking our neck out, but a win's a win. This week we're plumping for everyone's favourite mouthy South African, Rory Sabbatini, the quiet so far in the FedEx, Jim Furyk and the long-shot Robert Allenby.
We keep tipping him and he keeps falling just short. Was tied sixth last week and third the week before. If we didn't pick him it would be like choosing the same lottery numbers each week then not buying a ticket...kinda.
Tied 25th and tied 55th have been disappointing playoff results so far for the World number three. He started the FedEx at third place in the standings but has now dropped to seventh. If he is to have a chance of winning the cup, he'll need a solid performance here.
Despite a generally poor Summer, he finished eighth last week with an excellent 67 in his final round. Allenby won here before and has consistently played well at Cog Hill.
