Tiger: 'Uh-oh...'

It's credit to Tiger Woods alone that the Tavistock Cup has now become an international sporting event, rather than a friendly knock between neighbours.

For the uninitiated, one team of world famous golfers from the exclusive Isleworth estate take on the members of the equally exclusive Lake Nona Golf & Country Club every year, in what they call a 'Ryder Cup format' (secretly hoping that people will be stupid enough to associate the two events).

Tiger Woods has won the individual title for the past three years, in which time The Tavistock Cup has become a global TV extravaganza of sorts, which is why an understandably grumpy Tiger concluded his post-round interview at Doral sharply, to catch his tee-time in Orlando, joining Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Henrik Stenson, Chris DiMarco, and Trevor Immelman, among others. Annika Sorenstam and Paula Creamer will go to battle in the singles on Day Two.

For the record, Tiger's Isleworth team took a 7-3 lead after Day One. By the way, if anyone fancies a global TV rights deal for a match between Brighton's Arundel Mews and the Sussex Innovation Centre in Falmer (featuring a guest appearance by the bloke who played Warren in This Life), feel free to get in touch...
