IGWT fave Boo Weekley (why didn't you back him then?- Ed) is up to his old tricks again, leading the Stanford St Jude Championship after the first round. The Agricultural College dropout shot an opening round five-under-65, which included six birdies, the only blemish on his card being a bogey on the par three fourth. One behind Weekley is Tommy Armour III, whilst Vijay Singh, Davis Love III (good to see him playing well after his severe ankle injury) and Sergio Garcia all find themselves in the hunting pack.

Our picks, however, cruised along rather uninspiringly, with tournament specialist and hot tip David Toms two over par, Camilo Villegas one over and perhaps most surprising of all was Ryan Palmer, who finished par for the day. They should all make the cut with a good second round performance, but we don't pick them because we want them to make the cut, do we? We want them to make us some money, so get your backsides in gear fellas...
