'Le Bet Detective? He knows his onions, non?'

What a terrible time I had last week in Munich, hey? If there's one thing I've learned, however, that's to back a few local lads, and looking at the form book, the local French contingent do well in this tournament. And what's more, this week's picks are better value than a string of onions from Johnny Onions...

Francois Delamontagne
Granted, this 29-year-old from Rennes isn't a household name, but he's shown steady form as of late, tying for eigth at the Austrian Open, finishing fourth in the St Omer Open and sixth at last week's BMW International Open.
Thomas Levet
Apart from the fact that he's French, a finish for tied sixth at last week's BMW International Open and a win at this year's Open de Andalucia means that he gets my nod of approval.
Soren Hansen
This Dane has caught my eye over the past few weeks, so I've finally decided to put some money on him. Not only did he finish well at Torrey Pines, but he was runner-up here last year, as well as third in 2005 and 10th in 2004. I've got a good feeling about this one...
