Ji-Yai Shin: 'I did ask you not to do this, remember?'

Apparently this Ji-Yai Shin girl had to overcome a bout of nerves and a lack of sleep on Saturday night, but judging by her sensational final round 66 to win the Women's British Open, we reckon it was all a pack of lies.

The 20-year-old South Korean finished on 18 under par to finish three strokes ahead of Taiwan's Ya-Ni Tseng. The top five positions were all occupied by Asians, with nine Koreans finishing in the top 20.

Cristie Kerr bagged herself a sixth place finish on 12 under, with some Mexican lass called Lorena Ochoa one place behind on 11 under. Finland's Minea Blomqvist was the top-placed European, tying for 17th. If Karen Stupples could have shaved 13 strokes off her total, she would have won the whole thing, but as it is, she finished as the top Brit, tying for 24th.

Annika Sorenstam, understandably a tad emotional, finished her final major with a birdie (similar to a certain Jack Nicklaus at St Andrews in 2005).  88 titles, 10 of them majors? That's not bad work to be fair, Annika. If you find yourself with a bit of spare time on your hands, we could always do with a bit of help her at IGWT...
