Brian Barnes: Orange juice? Orange juice?

That Jack Nicklaus was the reigning Masters and PGA Champion mattered little to the irripressable, pipe-chomping Barnes, who defied logic by defeating The Golden Bear in both the morning and afternoon singles of the 1975 Ryder Cup at Laurel Valley GC, Pennsylvania. What’s more, after his morning defeat, The Golden Bear uttered confidently to Barnes, 'There ain’t no way you’re going to beat me again.' What a story to tell the grandchildren, eh?
