Rory McIlroy: The on-course gym facilities were an unexpected hit...

Did you know that Hong Kong GC - venue for this week's tournie - was formed by thirteen golf enthusiasts in 1889 (just give us your picks - Ed). Anyway, I've got a good feeling about this lot...

Rory McIlroy - Seems a long time since I last picked Rors, but he's seriously itching to get a win under that flash J.Lindeberg belt of his, and after a fourth place finish last week, he'll be full of confidence.

Thongchai Jaidee - Couldn't understand why Jaidee was one of the faves this until I had a peek at the stats. He played solidly in Singapore last week and, get this, finished second here last year. Get involved while you still can...

Daniel Chopra - Haven't been too impressed with his form recently, but the thing with Chopra is that he can pull it out of the bag when you least expect it. Finished well last week and I'm not going to turn my nose up at 66/1.

Who'll have reason to celebrate?

Miguel Angel Jimenez to retain his title at the UBS Hong Kong Open OR the lovely Sienna Miller to marry Balthzaar Getty in 2008 @ 16/1. Time's running out for Sienna, so put a tenner on Jimenez each-way...

Miller Barber: 'I used to have to play eight rounds for $100,000. Jeez...'

On this day in 1973, Miller Barber survived to win a marathon affair called the World Open Golf Championship at Pinehurst, which was played over a whopping 144 holes and two weeks. To get his $100,00 prize, Barber shot rounds of 68-74-73-74-67-73-72-69, for a 2-over 570...

We mark ours with an IGWT logo...

Are we the only ones who are tired of hearing how today's pros mark their Titleist ProV1s with a tiny red dot or their initials? Can't they come up with something more original? We're hoping the way we mark ours will inspire Titleist's pros to have a play about with Photoshop...

Jeev Milkha Singh: Don't go chasing waterfalls...

Well done to my pal Jeev Milka Singh for Milkinga Win (very funny - Ed) at the Singapore Open; I wish I'd put my money on him as opposed to this lot...

Asian Tour - Barclays Singapore Open
So much for Adam Scott's blistering record in this tournament; he didn't even make the cut. Oliver Wilson (T58) looked like making a move, but a final round 79 put to rest any hope of an each-way finish. It was the same story for Markus Brier (T46), who started off well with a 70, only to get progressively worse.
