The perfect stocking filler...

Who'd have thought there was so much fun to be had with a golf ball, a few sharpies and a bit of imagination, eh? Anyway, if you can't decide what to buy someone for Christmas, why not try a box of Titleist balls? Santa, if you're listening, we'll have a dozen Pro V1s please...

But he's still got a reason to smile...

The latest IRS forms that the PGA Tour has to file annually make for some slightly unsettling reading. If you know of any vacant commissioner roles, drop us an email. We'll settle for a million a year if we have to...

$4.8 million - Tim Finchem, the PGA Tour commissioner's well-deserved earnings for 2007. He pocketed a $1.3 million salary, a whopping $3.2 million bonus and a measly $240,000 in benefits. Benefits? Give us a break...

No.3 - Where Finchem would rank on the 2007 PGA Tour money list - for the second straight year - with his $4.8 million, behind only to Phil Mickelson and, you've guessed it, Tiger Woods.

$400,000 - The heartbreaking drop in money Finchem earned last year in comparison to 2006, which was $5.2 million if you can't do the math.

$710,812 - The amount Carolyn Bivens, the LPGA Tour commissioner, received in salary and benefits in 2006. That's (take a deep breath) $4,489,188 less than Finchem. Something's not right there...

$11.2 million - What NFL commissioner Roger Goodell made in 2007. That's well over double Finchem's pathetic $4.8 million.

Wayne Rooney and JB Holmes...

Okay, Holmes may have a much better head of hair on him, but the eyes, ears and bone structure are pretty much identical. Come to think of it, has anyone else noticed a slight Scouse twang in JB's accent?

It's a jungle out there...

WAG Carly Zucker to win I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! OR Ernie Els to top the 2009 PGA Tour money list without Tiger @ 40/1. Zucker stands no chance, so put a fiver on Ernie and pray that he has a miracle season...

No more free Enclaves...

Losing a sponsorship deal worth more than $10m a year has got to hurt a little, even if you're Tiger Woods. General Motors - who've had Buick logos plastered on Tiger's bag - have run into a spot of bother as the US economy continues its downward spiral, ending their sponsorship deal with Woods as a result. Ah well, we've heard Lada are looking for a new brand ambassador...
