Talk about lenient dress code...

They may be closing Turnberry's doors next month for next year's Open, but that didn't stop Eminem booking a last minute tee time on the Ailsa course. For some weird reason, he was in Ayrshire promoting his new song 'I'm Having a Relapse,' and not wanting to miss an opportunity, popped along for a quick knock. 'He had a lovely left to right ball flight,' said our secret source.

Marc Turnesa: 'Winning on the PGA Tour has its perks y'know...'

Like the Neville brothers, only much better...

We should have seen Marc Turnesa's victory at the Shriners Open coming a mile off. After all, his grandad, Michael C.Turnesa, was one of seven famous golfing brothers; Phil, Frank, Joe, Mike, Doug, Jim and Willie. They all played professionaly and won on the PGA Tour apart from Willie, who won two US Amateurs and a British Amateur title. No pressure on Marc then...

#5 Corey Pavin

A brief glance at the stats says that Corey Pavin needs a tache to play his best golf. He decided to get rid of his facial hair in 1998, and has only managed one PGA Tour win since. Before the chop, however, Corey bagged an impressive 14 victories, including one major. You do the math...

Azor - King Of ShavesAzor says: I'd love to get my blades onto this fella's lips. That tache is the equivalent of first degree murder if you ask me.

News breaks that Tiger Woods won't be fit until 2010...

Clearly not content with all the headlines his fellow Americans have been grabbing after the Ryder Cup, Tiger Woods has decided to drop a massive bombshell. No, he won't be shaving that awful receding hairdo of his...

Turns out that Woods won't be able to start swinging a club until January next year, and he reckons it will be another 18 months before his ACL (whatever that actually means) is healed and he's back to his best. Great news if your second name is Singh, Furyk, Mickelson, Harrington, Kim...

Even though he'll be back competing sometime next year, would you believe that 2010 is in fact the year of the Tiger on the Chinese calendar? Is this another one of Nike's tactical PR stunts, or just us being superstitious?

Camilo Villegas: 'This time I'd like to thank my hairdresser & flag maker...'

Talk about waiting for a bus and two coming along at the same time. That's right folks, Camilo Villegas, seemingly from nowhere, won the Tour Championship at East Lake to claim his second tour title in a row.

The 26-year-old Colombian was five strokes behind at one point, but found it in himself to nail six birdies (for a four-under 66) on the final eleven holes to force a playoff with Sergio Garcia.

And let's face it, Garcia's hardly the best when it comes to playoffs, which is why it only took one hole for the Spaniard to make a hash of things. We've got the number of a great mental coach if he wants it...

IGWT pick Anthony Kim and Lefty finished in a tie for third, with Ben Curtis in fifth, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk and Mike Weir in a tie for sixth and KJ Choi in ninth.
Some other bloke called Vijay Singh wrapped up the FedEx Cup before we forget. A trophy and a $10m bonus prize they gave him. Nice for some...
