Carl Pettersson: Healthy...Just what's going on with these Swedes? After Mikael Lundberg's European Tour victory at the Russian Open two weeks ago, compatriot Carl Pettersson is the man leading the way at the Wyndham Championship after a record-breaking second round performance.
Pettersson shot a nine-under-par 61 to go three clear of Garrett Willis and Scott McCarron (64). The, how shall we put it,
cuddly Swede shot 30 through this opening nine holes, with six of his 11 birdies coming on the front nine.
It means that he beats the previous Wyndham record of 62 and his 15-under total of 125 also equals the record for the lowest opening 36 holes of a PGA event, sharing the record with Tiger, Mark Calcavecchia, Tom Lehman and Corey Pavin. So he's in good company.
