Tripp Isenhour: 'who fancies quail for lunch?'

There are a number of different ways professional golfers are able to illustrate their accuracy. The ability to strike and kill a protected species of animal from 75 yards is one of the more unusual methods. Nationwide Tour player Tripp Isenhour is now facing a maximum penalty of 14 months in the choker  after being charged with cruelty to animals and killing a migratory bird - a red-shouldered hawk, no less.

He started taking pot shots at the bird from 300 yards after its squawking stopped filming the tuition programme Shoot Like A Pro at Grand Cypress Golf Club.
When the bird got closer, Isenhour nailed his prey and now the Humane Society of the United States is calling for the PGA Tour to take further disciplinary action.

Isenhour claims he was only trying to scare the bird away. We also believe he should present some video evidence of him losing his card on the PGA Tour last season in his defence. The way he was playing there's no way he could have done that deliberately...
