Richard O'Brien was nowhere to be seen...

Sweden's (who else?) Peter Hanson pipped England's Nick Dougherty to the SAS Masters in Stockholm. Hanson carded 71 in the final round to finish nine under and one ahead of Dougherty and fellow Swede Pelle Edberg.

Hanson became the first home winner of the SAS Masters in ten years, and the win keeps his faint hopes of Ryder Cup qualfication alive. He moves from 24th to 17th in the European Ryder Cup standings and will play in next week's KLM Open in Holland needing another big performance to have any chance of qualifying.

England's Paul Broadhurst and Sam Walker, and Scot Gary Orr ended tied fourth at seven under, while Open star Chris Wood ended his professional debut tied in 18th on three under par.
