What a difference a year can make, eh? Can't say that I was the FedEx Cup's biggest fan when it made its debut last year, but with Tiger out of the picture, this playoff stuff has taken my fancy all of a sudden. With a new-found enthusiasm for the whole thing, I'm going to lump big on this lot...

If you're going to go with one player, you'd be a fool not to pick Melon. The 23-year-old has stepped up his game in a big way this year, and as long as he gets off to a good start at this week's Barclays, his enthusiasm and intensity should see him hoist the cup and pocket the $10 milllion bonus. And at 33/1, I'm all over him (not literally).

Steve Stricker

Despite a cracking start to the year with a second-place finish, Stricker's been off the boil since then. However, you've got to remember the fact that he finished second behind Tiger in the FedEx Cup standings last year, and I've got a sneaky feeling that he'll step up his game again for the playoffs...

Justin Leonard

The bookies may not fancy him at all, but considering he's eight in the standings, Leonard's worth at least a quid. If he can bag a win or at least put together a string of top-five finishes during the playoffs, he's got a decent shout in my opinion.
