Justin Leonard: It was the shirts that caused the REAL controversy...

Despite going into the final day's singles 10-6 behind at Brookline in 1999, a remarkable US comeback saw chimp-faced Leonard emerge as hero of the hour. Faced with a 40-foot putt at the 17th against Jose Maria Olazabal to win the Ryder Cup, Leonard indeed holed out, sparking America's players and supporters to sprint onto the green in celebration... which caused a bit of fuss to say the least. Good thing we don't hold grudges here at IGWT...
