'Don't worry about that farmer comment, Finchy, I'll get one of my boys to take their server down later...'

So did Finch pinch it, or Bowditch breeze it?: The Englishman, Finch, won his first European Tour title just a few weeks after keeping his tour card with a top 10 spot in Mallorca, his last event of the season.
Crikey, good work, farmer-boy: Physically, there is a touch of the agricultural about him, you’re right – 6ft 2 inches, 14 ½ stone, ruddy complexion…
And he’s from Hull…: Yes, he is. What’s that got to do with anything, though?
Dunno, it just seems like one of those kind of places, like Lincoln…: It’s more seafaring than agricultural, but we’ll take that ill-informed piece of social stereotyping and move on. He was six shots clear after the front nine, before chucking in bogeys on 12, 14 and 17.
What happened to Bowditch and Sheehan?: They ended up in a tie for second place after Paul Sheehan carded a solid 69 and Steven Bowditch had a more eventful 72, chucking in five bogeys before two birdies and an eagle on 17.
No miracles from Peter Fowler, then…: Nah… . After his course record 62 a more a last round 73 saw him drop from third to eighth place.
Any other honourary mentions?: Without a doubt – lefty Kiwi ledge Bob Charles played his best golf for a decade, carding 75,68, 71 and 70 to end up tied 23rd.
Good work Charlo: And how did your tip, Oli Fisher get on?: He shot a last round 69 to finish tied 9th with Matthew ‘Iron, Lion in’ Zions.
I’ve missed those nicknames…: I still like to throw one in now and again, just to keep you interested…
