Tim Clark: 'Look Mum, I'm on the big screen...'

You'd usually be pretty happy with a 62 in the second round of a tournament, unless you're South Africa's Tim Clark, who was this close to carding a 59 on the second day of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Clark managed two eagles in the space of three holes as well as seven birdies, but two bogeys on the final pair of holes denied him the magic number. Still, it was good enough to put him on 14-under, one shot clear of Canada's Mike Weir, who carded a 68 to go with his first round 61.

Things are certainly hotting up at TPC Boston, as Ben Curtis, Vijay Singh (both tied for third), Jim Furyk, Kevin Streelman, IGWT pick Sergio Garcia and Ernie Els (all tied fifth) fins themselves within three of the South African.

Players to miss the cut include birthday boy Padraig Harrington, Paul Casey, Sean O'Hair and Ian Poulter. See how much Poults cares though, what with a Ryder Cup wildcard pick already in the bag...
