                                                 Tommy Armour III: Straight Outta Miami Vice...

The awesomly-named Tommy Armour III showed that the PGA Tour's veterans are more than capable of mixing it with the big boys, despite a double bogey on the 18th hole of his second round at TPC Southwind. Five other players share the lead at the Stanford St Jude Championship on three under par, including Michael Bradley, Jason Dufner and Dean Wilson. With a gusting wind racing across the course, as well as extremely firm greens, we've well and truly been given a taste of what to expect at next week's US Open.

Other big names at the top include Vijay Singh and Alex Cejka, both at two under, whilst Masters champ Trevor Immelman and recent winner Sergio Garcia find themselves at even par. First round leader Boo Weekley will be dissapointed with his second round 75, but to be quite honest, it's anyone's game at the moment.

Ryan Palmer was the only one of our picks who failed to make the cut, which fell at five over par, but we're still confident that Camilo Villegas will pull a blistering third round performance out of the bag to move up into contention from tied 33rd place...
