Richard Finch has set the pace for the Muppet Of The Year Award for this season's InGolfWeTrust Rusty Awards, accidentally toppling into the River Maigue after hitting his approach shot to the 18th hole.
Fortunately, he was three shots clear of Felipe Aguilar and despite standing sodden from head-to-toe, he managed to paddle the ball into the hole in three shots for a 10-under total of 278.
It's his second win of the season after the Michael Hill New Zealand Open last November and gives him a realistic change of challenging for a place in The Ryder Cup squad.
Felipe Aguilar was second at 8-under, while Robert Karlsson, Maarten 'Do Yourself' Lafeber, Gary Murphy and Lee Westwood shared at 7-under. Rory McIlroy posted an uncharacteristically consistent trio of 70s and a 72 to come seventh, while Bradley 'Don't Push Me 'Cos I'm Close To The' Dredge tumbled in a less entertaining manner from first to tied 8th, after a final round 76.
