Arnold Palmer: 'So-so season? Take that!'

On this day in 1969, the PGA Tour was going nowhere fast. Its stars were in slumber, but Arnold Palmer, having gone winless for 14 months, won for the second straight week, taking the last event on the PGA Tour calendar, the Danny Thomas Diplomat Classic in Miami, Florida...

All hail King Casey...

Nothing to do with the classic egg cooking technique, the definition of a scramble goes like this: 'The frequency, expressed as a percentage to one decimal place, of the player scoring par or better on holes where the player missed the Green in Regulation.' Now that we're all on the same wavelength, here are the European Tour's master scramblers of 2008...

1. Paul Casey - 64%
2. Robert Karlsson - 63.7%
3. Sergio Garcia - 63.1%
4. Richard Green - 62.5%
5. David Lynn / Wen-Chong Lian - 62%
7. Paul Broadhurst - 61.4%
8. Christian Cevaer - 61.3%
9. Maarten Lafeber - 61.3%
10. Henrik Stenson / Padraig Harrington - 61.1%

Paul Casey uses a Nike SV Tour wedge to get his scrambling done on course. CLICK HERE to see the wedge in our equipment section.
